Herd of Instinct draws from a vast array of influences – elements of rock, avant-garde, electronica, prog, psychedelic music, horror and cinematic film scores – to create a style that is uniquely their own. The band signed to Djam Karet’s Firepool Records in 2011 and has released three albums. Their explosive debut album featured guest musicians Jerry Marotta (Peter Gabriel), Pat Mastelotto (King Crimson, XTC), Gayle Ellett (Djam Karet), Gavin Harrison (Porcupine Tree), and Markus Reuter (Stick Men). Herd of Instinct’s third album, “Manifestation”, was released early 2016 and is a transitional phase for the band. The group has expanded its sound from the original three-member unit to a larger ensemble.
