Mount Pressmore‘s eclectic style has been described most succinctly as “Chop-Pop,” and their musical comparisons span the range from the progressive visions of Yes and King Crimson to the dancefloor rock of The Police and Talking Heads. Mount Pressmore is Tom Ray (guitar and vocals), Alexei Sefchick (bass), Thomas Shaw (keyboard and vocals), and Kris Studebaker (drums). Since their founding in 2011, they have been a consistent fixture on the Austin club scene. They released their first record, “Enjoy,” in 2013, and will soon release their second, “The Masked Battle,” in the fall of 2016.
