Summary:

Transit Method have been described as as great mix of grunge, thrash and punk and have been credited as giving birth to a new genre, Alt Prog, by The Punk Site. Fans of Jane’s Addiction, Rush and The Mars Volta will definitely want to check these guys out!

Transit Method was founded in the suburbs of New Jersey by brothers Matt and Mike LoCoco in 2010. After releasing their first full length album Spun Into The Fabric in 2011, the band relocated to Austin, TX where they released their 2013 EP Spectrum and second full length album Celebrate Mutations in 2014. At the start of 2015, the band acquired bassist Danny Cruz Borja, Jr. and continue to tour and record as this lineup.

The group has toured the Northeast and Southeast and regularly perform around Texas. They have shared the stage with The Tea Club, District 97, Bobaflex, The Sword, and Rishloo. In 2015, Transit Method took part in an original documentary feature entitled “If You Don’t Love It, Change It” where they filmed their first music video for “Artificial Genesis.”

On May 27, Transit Method released their second EP entitled Roach on Basement Avatar Records. It offers a fresh and new sonic approach for Transit Method having taken their sound further into the grunge realm by adding a dash of thrash while always maintaining their prog edge.
